About SOEK
Who am I
I am a music composer and multi-instrumentalist, playing guitars, basses, percussion, keyboards, and the lute — an array that has allowed me to explore a wide range of musical genres. Under the mentorship of Valerio Jans, I honed my skills and delved into experimentation through jam sessions, performing styles such as ska punk, garage punk, and classic rock. In Ticino, I co-founded Eleonor, originally known as the Eleonore Quartet, and later contributed to the country-rock scene with The Barbones. In 2018, I embraced the medieval lute, further enriching my musical palette. My music, shaped by social critique and philosophical themes, invites listeners to reflect, grow, and reconnect with nature.
My Concept
SOEK - The process of creation
I’m SOEK, a musician and composer. Over the years, I’ve explored various musical styles, especially progressive rock and electronic music. Drawing from these influences, I’ve developed a unique ambient sound ideal for soundtracks. For this project, I independently composed and produced all parts, using electric guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, synths, and a range of ethnic instruments. The result is an EP titled “Chelonian.”.
